The Abbotsbury - Langport Link: This route linking the main path with the Macmillan Way West is now fully waymarked and completes our waymarking campaign, with all Macmillan routes waymarked. In addition all Macmillan routes apart from the Abbotsbury-Langport Link are now marked on the current editions of the Ordnance Survey's Landranger and Explorer Maps. |

Every little helps: In 2010 money raised from the sale of our guidebooks, sponsorship and other donations exceeded £7,000. We have seen an increased number of book sales in the first part of 2011 so expect to see more walkers taking to our paths this year for the greater good of Macmillan Cancer Support. Total monies raised and passed to Macmillan now exceeds £350,000. |

The Macmillan Ways join forces with Ordnance Survey: The Macmillan Way Association has recently been accepted as an affiliate partner of Ordnance Survey. The advantage of this partnership is that a percentage of the purchase price of maps and other items is given to us for the benefit of Macmillan Cancer Support. This only applies to items purchased on line from the Ordnance Survey Map Shop, if access to the shop is from the links on our Publications Page.
Click on the maps opposite to learn more.
We strongly recommend that all walkers carry the relevant OS maps for use in conjunction with our guidebooks. |

Have you completed all or part of our paths, if so read on: A recent addition to this website is the Completers Page. Over the years since the ‘ways’ were established hundreds of walkers have followed our routes for many reasons, some just because they enjoy a good walk, others for personal reasons associated with our charitable cause, Macmillan Cancer Support. Whatever your reason we are asking you to share your magic moments with us. So, if you have memorable photographs of your time along our paths then we would love to see and publish them on this site. Just email your images by following this link and we will do the rest. If you add a few lines giving details as to who you are, and why you were walking that would be great. |
|
Postage Costs: From the very beginnings of The Macmillan Way Association we have managed to absorb the cost of postage and packing within the cover price of our publications. In recent months we have seen a significant rise in these costs and with another postage price rise coming in early 2011 we have had to take steps in order to ensure that Macmillan Cancer Support benefit fully. We have now added a flat rate charge of £1.00 to all of our main publications. Our in-house produced booklets and planners will not incur this additional cost.
Although this is a reluctant decision we are sure that you will understand the reasons behind it. |
|
Helpers Wanted: Do you enjoy walking? Do you live near to any part of the Macmillan Way network? Can you spare a few hours a year helping our cause? If you can answer ’yes’ to the above then please drop us an email or call us on 02476 545858 for further information. |
